The long awaited change of the Tapu Law is now in force. The law was signed by the President of Turkey and the sale to foreigners is now going on again.

The most important changes we have summarized for you:

The reciprocity principle has been cancelled.

The list of countries that may acquire property in Turkey has been approved by the Cabinet. A total of 181 countries have therefore a right to purchase the property in Turkey. Countries that are not on this list cannot purchase a property in Turkey.

Surface boundaries

Foreigners are allowed to purchase max 10% of the total area of a province.

Up to 30 acres are available for purchase. Every single foreign person has the permission to buy max 30 acres.

Private companies, companies that were founded abroad can purchase property in Turkey after certain conditions prescribed by the Cabinet.

Russian and Danish buyers benefit from the new Tapu Law

alt

Especially our Russian and Danish customers take advantage of the change in the Tapu Law. The Tapu office required the submission of a residence permit of buyers from Russia and Denmark till now. This has changed. A residence for the purchase is not necessary any more. This simplifies the buying process a lot.

The limit of properties (1 per person) that can be purchase per person for Danish customers is still the same.

Also for Russia’s neighbors’, there are positive news. Interested customers from Belarus, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, and Kazakhstan are now allowed to purchase property in Turkey.

In addition to many cultural and art events, which are already being planned, Alanya's first amphitheater will also serve as an educational institution. In March, Mayor Hasan Sipahioglu visited and inspected the progress of the construction of an amphitheater personally.

While visiting the construction site, the mayor received from the construction company FND the information that the construction work is planned to be completed before the end of the year. From 2013 onwards, the new theater will be the venue for national and international concerts. Theater, ballet and opera performances are also being planned.

We are already looking forward to many interesting evenings in Alanya's new amphitheater.
