Exhibition "Magnificent Century" opens in Dubai

The exhibition "Hareem Al Sultan" is organized by the Istanbul Entertainment Group and the Company Merass of Scheiches of Dubai Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum and was inspired by the popular Turkish TV series "Magnificent Century". Now the exhibition has opened in Dubai CityWalk.
The world premiere of depopulation took place in Istanbul in November 2014 and went under the Culture 2015, inter alia, to Doha, Qatar.
 
The exhibition takes visitors on a journey through the palace of the "splendor Vollen century" and shows them how it feels to be in an era of greatness and dangerous ambitions to live.
 
Covering an area of ​​1,300 square meters authentic artifacts of ancient palaces are issued. The exhibition will remain open until May for visitors.
The popular Turkish TV series "Magnificent Century" was first broadcast in 2011, reaching an audience in over 50 countries. More than 200 million television viewers worldwide followed the story of Sultan Süleyman and Hürrem.

Turkey is attracting foreign patients for welness and health turizm

On May 15 there a meeting will be held in Istanbul to advise on the development of the country for medical tourism. At this conference more than a hundred tour operators and representatives of the 15 largest hospitals will participate.
 
The main objective of the conference is to explore the possibility of attracting patients from other states for treatment in Turkey. Last year, Turkey has already achieved very good results in this area so that the focus is on the topic of wellness.
 
The health sector is very important for tourism in Turkey. So 746,000 foreign patients could already be won for Turkey in 2015. 60% of tourists were people from the Middle East, North Africa and the Gulf region, 20% locals and another 20% came from Europe. This year, they hope for an increase in foreign patients by 15%.

EXPO 2016 opens in Antalya

This year on April 23, in addition to the official Children's Day Antalya celebrates the opening of the International Botanical EXPO 2016.
 
Approximately 8 million visitors are expected to visit the Expo 2016. The construction costs for this mega project amounted to 1.7 billion TL ($ 600 million). At the EXPO more than 30 countries take part, so as Sudan, Qatar, United Kingdom and the Netherlands.
 
The EXPO 2016 is one of the largest exhibition in Turkey and has a positive effect on the tourism industry in Antalya. As the symbol of the EXPO 2016 the Peony was elected. In Turkey, the peony is known as a medicinal plant. In other countries, it is often called the "queen of flowers".
 
However, the participating countries will ensure not only their plant diversity, but also architecture. The result was, among other things, a Chinese pavilion. Nepal, for example, presents its "Garden of the Himalayas" and Turkey an Ottoman garden with fountains, statues, a sundial and stone paths. At the EXPO 120 different plant species, including 25,000 trees were planted.
 
EXPO tower
The tower height is more than 100 meters and is located in the northern part of the Expo. The design was selected in a competition among 127 designs. From the tower the visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of the Expo site, and the city and the sea.
 
Museum of Biodiversity
It is the first museum in Turkey, that will present the agriculture and biodiversity as well as a collection of plants. The museum offers biodiversity on 3000 square meters. Inside, there are three sections with different climatic conditions.
 
Apart from all the plants the visitors also get to know the different cuisines of Turkey. Visitors have the opportunity to try dishes of national cuisine of Antalya, Istanbul, Diyarbakır, Trabzon, Bodrum, Istanbul and Konya.
 
The EXPO 2016 in Antalya has much more to offer further yet and well worth a visit in any case.

April 23, Turkey - Feast of National Sovereignty and Children Festival

Many probably know that the 23 of April is official children holiday in Turkey (Cocuk Bayrami). It is an official holiday on which all public authorities are closed.
 
But Children's Day is only the short name. Actually, it is the National Sovereignty Day and Day of the Child (23 Nisan Ulusal Egemenlik ve Cocuk Bayram?).
On April 23, 1920 the first parliament was founded - the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (Turkiye Buyuk Millet Meclisi). This laid the foundation of the national liberation movement and the abolition of the rule of the Sultan of the Ottoman Empire. Since 1921, April 23 is a national holiday called "National Day" (23 Nisan Milli Bayram).
 
Children's Day is celebrated since 23 April 1927, on the initiative and with the support of the first president of the young Republic of Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk.
 
Since 1981, that day brings officially celebrations so as: in Ankara - at the mausoleum of the founder of the Turkish Republic and in other cities - at all Atatürk monuments. In the stadia sports competitions of students are held and schools are preparing celebrations and small performances.

Antalya will get its own Disneyland

The CEO of Galeri Kristal Group, Tuncay Kilit, announced the plan to build a large amusement park in Antalya.
 
In the town of Belek, a famous holiday destination for golf turizm, plans to open a new theme park, the Turkish equivalent of Disneyland. The theme park will be developed on a land of 630,000 sq.m. 
 
According to Tuncay Kilit:
"At the moment, we have already signed a contract with the famous American firm Forrec, a leading specialist of the entertainment industry. This will be a truly exclusive and ambitious project.
After completion of the project in the region expects a very large decrease of visitors from all around the world, which will increase also the duration of the tourizm season in Belek. Currently, negotiations with representatives of Disneyland are held. If an agreement will be found, Antalya will get its own Disneyland. If not, the park will have different name, that essentially changes nothing.
 
On the territory of the theme park it is planned to build sports complexes, a giant aquarium, shopping and entertainment facilities, pedestrian and bicycle paths, a variety of attractions.
New hotels will be built, cafes and restaurants, a cinema, zoo, shops, sports facilities, exhibition halls, religious buildings.
