Before the first flights from Germany to Gazipasa get started on 05.11.2013, the airline Sunexpress has now completed its first test flight. With 05.11.2013, the first direct flights to Gazipasa from the German airports in Frankfurt , Dusseldorf and Leipzig are going to start. On 01.10.2013 at 15:15 clock the first test machine with journalists and representatives of German travel companies and the former mayor of the city of the partner city Gladbeck, Wolfgang Röken, landed safely at the airport in Gazipasa.
After landing, the General Director of the SunExpress underligned in his speech that it is their aim to bring their German guests quickly and without problems to their destinatins in Alanya and Side. After the Gazipasa airport was opened in 2010 for domestic flights, in 2011 it received the approval for international flights and more and more international airlines obtain landing permits. The response of the international guests was enormous and therefore the airport has already achieved a strong increase in passengers in the years 2012 and 2013. Now the airport in November is finally approached by German airlines. This will be welcomed by many residents living in Alanya. The first flights are already booked out.
After the successful landing of the first Sun Express machine this was celebrated with the guests arrived from Germany with a dinner. In Filika restaurant at the Damlatas Beach the positive impact of the first Sun Express flights to the region was highlighted. The mayor of Alanya Hasan Sipahioglu and the District Goveneur Mr. Erhan Özdemir reiterated their gratitude to Sun Express, which makes it German residents now easier and more comortable to reach their second home in Alanya.
Sun Express will fly 7 days a week from 3 German airports ( Dusseldorf , Frankfurt, Leipzig ) to Gazipasa .
For the 3rd time the International Culinary Competition "The Golden Spoon" will take place. From 25-27.10.2013 the best chefs in the country and internationally will compete in various competitions.
