Since 01st April 2014, new rules for the granting residence permits for Turkey has come up. The biggest change is the requirement to submit documentation of health insurance in Turkey. Customers from the European Union can be registered with the state SGK insurance with proof of health insurance certificate in accordance with the Agreement between Turkey and the respective European country. This will also be accepted at the Foreigner Police for the application of the residence permit. Each applicant who has a Tapu, the title deed for a property may apply for a residence permit directly for 1 year.
