In the last 11 years, the government and the communities of Turkey have reforested forest resources like no other country. In the years 2003-2013 about 51 million small trees were replanted in the areas around Antalya.
But not only in the forest were new trees planted. Schoolyards, public parks, gardens, verges of roads, everywhere new trees grow. Trees and plants are the lungs of the earth and must be maintained. In Antalya approximately 67 875 saplings were distributed to students and residents. 800 trees were replanted in the gardens of prayer houses and mosques.
In Antalya alone 137 promenades and 3 city parks were designed and embellished with trees and plants in recent years.
