For the past 20 years, a pair of storks always returns to Manavgat. Every spring they come back to their hatchery made-up years ago and stay the summer there. They will stay now until mid-September and will leave before the winter.
At the moment the neighbors are waiting for a little baby stork that is supposed to arrive very soon. The retired German teacher Petra Ottmann, who has settled down in Manavgat 10 years ago, told with pleasure that the news of the return of the storks is going around in the neighborhood. While the female usually remains in the nest, the male is collecting food.
